The Legal Fund assists women faculty to defend themselves against employment discrimination in their educational institutions. If you are experiencing academic discrimination and have hired (or are in the process of hiring) legal counsel, you may apply to the F.A.A.D. Legal Fund for assistance. We are especially interested in women professors discriminated against on the grounds that women's studies "isn't significant" or because we are "too abrasive" or "political" in standing up for our rights. The F.A.A.D. Legal Fund exists because of contributions made by feminist faculty who were assisted by F.A.A.D. in the past. Donations, bequests, transfers, and gifts to F.A.A.D. are TAX DEDUCTIBLE under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Internal Revenue Code. Please email us if you would like to make a donation--we will provide you with the Treasurer's name and address: sharon@teichmangallery.com.

"I beg you to see your contribution to Feminists Against Academic Discrimination not as a charitable donation but as a SAVVY INVESTMENT. For, on every campus where we can sustain discrimination suits - and whether or not those suits finally win or lose in the courts - we force an improvement in the status of women." - Annette Kolodny
